I have played basketball my whole life.  I started playing when I was 8 years old.  I played 4 years in high school (3 Varsity), 4 years in college (NCAA2), and as of writing this I just completed my 6th season playing professionally in Europe.  Click Here to read about my lifelong basketball career.  I am a player coach.  In my off season and in Europe I work with players that are eager to get better.  What makes me better than most trainers out there is that I am actually a player too.  I am passionate about basketball training not only for myself but for my players too and I know what gets results because I witness it myself.  I know what players want and don’t want.

I was born in Seattle, WA and at the age of 2 moved to California.  My hometown is about 20 minutes away from the beach on the Central Coast.  I am always looking to find new players to work with in the area so if you’re around hit me up.  If you ask anyone that knows me they will tell you that I have a passion to teach the basketball and play basketball.  I never disrespect the game and the reason I am so passionate about helping other players improve is because I once was overlooked for my abilities and took the action needed to change that and become a much better player.  I believe in handwork and am the product of it.

About Baller Boot Camp

mascotBaller Boot Camp is my basketball training business.  My team and I train players individually, in small groups, and also run camps.  We have expanded to the Internet in hopes to reach more players.  We hope through written articles and videos we can help you become the player you have always hoped to be.

I am just like you.  I looked everywhere online to find resources that could help me learn more about basketball and to become better players myslef.  I looked online and found many different coaching resources, but I did not find 1 single website online that was dedicated 100% to the players.

This is where Baller Boot Camp comes in.  This website updates daily with informative basketball training info.  Mostly through video we hope that we become the #1 resource for players online.

Our basketball training philosophy summed up is:

QUALITY x QUANTITY = IMPROVEMENT

Quality refers to how game specific a drill or workout is.  Quantity refers to the number of reps you get up in a drill or workout.  You need to have a high quantity of quality reps in order to improve.  Click here to learn my entire basketball training philosophy.

 WORK WITH ME

Yes, you can work directly with me.  I do this mostly through email.  Yeah, I post some stuff on the website, but the real and best help I can give you is through email.  I have a small following of dedicated players that I email every so often and I coach them to become better shooters, passers, ball handlers, athletes, etc.  If you want to be in that group enter your email on one of the many forms on this website.

First, I will send you my actual workout routine that I use to improve my shooting and ball handling.  I really owe a lot of my success to this routine.  I will then send you tons of drills and other things to use to become a better player.  If you have any questions on the drills or tips I send you feel free to ask me. Enter your email below.

    Hi Augie,

I read that you do 1on1 training. I was wondering if you offer training in SF or around the bay area?

    Thanks,
    Tony

You have to practice to improve those things. Here are a ton of different drills you can use to improve your shooting and ball handling.

By training players normally build confidence in themselves. It’s like giving a presentation that you prepared for and giving a presentation you didn’t prepare for…which situation will you be more confident for? Of course, the one you prepared for. It’s the same with basketball.

    Hi Augie,
I’m 14 years old and my name is Joey. I’ve recently made the decision from this point and on I’m gonna do everything possible to be a much better basketball player. I would like to know how your program can help my game. I watched your video about “Baller Boot Camp” and everything in the video I could relate. I’ve been lifting weights and practising in the driveway but through all of it i don’t feel as if I’m improving. I don’t know if I am doing the right drills or not. I have not bought your program yet but I’m really starting to wonder if it will help me out. I’m starting to get really serious about basketball. What should I do?

    Thanks,
    Joey.
