The Basketball Move That No One Works On, But Everyone Uses

I think this is one of the best basketball moves for beginners…

Yet, you’ll see NBA players using it ALL THE TIME as well.

So why don’t you work on this?

It’s ok, no one works on this…

“But coach, it’s just a hesitation.”

Is it?

Well, yes, technically it is, lol.

But if you look at it from a different perceptive it’s so much more than that.

In today’s post I’m going to show you why this is probably the most common move used in all of basketball, yet is neglected from a training standpoint.

So, let’s take a look at he move:


The more explosive you can be out of this move the better.

And since this is something that most players use often it only makes sense to work on becoming more and more explosive out of it.

Like I stated in the video, this is basically just a change of pace move.

That's why it's one of the most effective basketball moves for beginners, because at that level you don't need much craftiness to your game.

90% of the time no move is better than trying shake your defender.

Simple stop and start better than him and you got him beat. (Or her ;))

This is a move you can easily use when going full speed or when you're at almost a standstill.

It also can be used very nicely with any snatch back.

If you don't know what a snatch back is...

...it's basically any move where you attack a defender hard and once you get him or her moving you stop on a dime, snatch the ball back, create space, and either shoot or counter.

So what I'm getting at is...

You can use this "Load Up Move" to get a defender retreating and then snatch the ball back to create space and get your shot off.

And like I said in the video there are many different situations and moves that incorporate "loading up."
