Today’s podcast is more for players than coaches, sorry Phil Jackson I know you listen to the podcast 😉
It seems like basketball unlike other sports is just jam packed of players who think they are God’s gift to the game.
If you know me then you know that I’m all for players believing in themselves.
That’s something that I preach all the time…If you don’t believe in yourself then no one else will.

But at the same time, keep it to yourself.
And there is a big difference between believing in yourself and thinking your good enough.
From my experience the best players are the ones that have a high belief in themselves, but for whatever reason that belief creates huge expectations for themselves.
And with that mentality those players are never satisfied and are always looking for ways to do better.
I know that I've had games where I scored 35 points and was just pissed off after the game that I missed those 3 free throws and that easy layup.
I should of had 40 I told my wife!
But I think that there is such a fine line between confident and cocky that it's very hard for basketball players to stand on the right side of that line.
So today's podcast is more of a motivational one than anything.
I hope you like it and if you do please go subscribe on Itunes and give me a 5 star review, thanks.
