BASKETBALL AGILITY DRILL – CONE HOPS

In this speed and agility drill for basketball we are working on getting off the ground quicker than our opponent.  Like I said in the video, “It is often the second jump in the game that gets you the rebound.” and that is what we are working on here.  This exercise focuses a lot on the fast twitch muscle fibers in your legs.  If you do a vertical leap or agility workout then this is a great drill to throw on to the end.  You probably will see an increase in your jumping ability too.  If you used this drill then leave a comment and let us know how it went and let us know about the improvements you’ve made.

WHAT’S NEEDED

1 Cone

Most people don’t understand that working on your speed and agility through different drills and exercises is just as important as lifting weights and working on your vert.  Make sure to add this to your training.
