I decided to create this infographic as I’m currently dealing with all three of these tiny little injuries at the same time. I think most players can relate to this and if you can please share this on Facebook, Twitter or wherever else you want to.
The problem with all of these common injuries is that you have to play through them. You can’t miss practice because you have a tiny little cut on the end of your fingertip, lol.
I normally put tape around them when that happens and just hope it doesn’t throw off my shooting.
Dead legs are when you get kneed or elbowed somewhere and you feel like you have a pulled muscle or something. If it’s bad enough it can sideline you, but 9 times out of 10 you can play through it.
The last injury is a jammed finger. This happens mostly from a bad catch where you hit your fingertip on the basketball or when you deflect a pass. I would say that this is the most common basketball injury out of all three.
