Basketball dribbling drills that add new moves to your arsenal are both logical and beneficial. Many basketball dribbling drills just focus on being able to dribble the ball harder and faster which is important, but you need to combine those drills with other ones that are a little more game specific.
With the Lateral Movement Crossovers Drill we focus on creating space between you and the defense. If the defense closes that space then you can cross back over and blow by because they are moving in the opposite direction that you are. If they don’t close that space after the first cross then you are free to shoot or drive down that new lane you have created by moving laterally.
