4 Point Guard Moves: The Tony Parker Breakdown

point guard moves

Do you like watching Tony Parker play?

Who doesn’t?

The guy is only 6’2″ and has a plethora of point guard moves that has allowed him to finish in the top 5 for “points in the paint” multiple times.

In the 2005-06 season he led the NBA in points in the pain for the majority of the season which is almost unheard of for a point guard.

So it only makes sense that take a look at his game and breakdown a few moves that he uses to be so effective on the court.

First let’s take a look at his signature move.

This is the throw-cross spin move.

Tony Parker's Signature Move

In the video I only showed going in one direction but you can do this move going in the opposite direction as well.

If you've never seen TP use this move then you probably don't watch him that often, but just because I know you guys love proof, here is him using it in the game.

And just like most other players he uses those two moves separate as well.

What I mean by that is he uses that throw-dribble without the spin move and sometimes he uses the spin move without the throw-dribble.

Two other point guard moves that he combines together into one move is the In N Out-Crossover.

Check out the video below where I show all of those move broken down in an easy to understand way.

If you can think of any other point guard moves you want me to break down please leave them as a comment below.

Yes, but of course like anything in basketball it won’t work every time.
